Content type and implications on domestic/intl shipments

  1. In Desktop Shipping, the Content Type (package section)/ Reason for Export (international tab), what option does this translate to in PSE360? Is it the same as Heading: Customs Details --> What kind of items are in your shipment?

  2. Purpose of Shipment option/ result on commercial invoice- What drives this and does it have any impact on the shipment or fees?

    Discussed today in demo, PB showed that Type of Export appears on the commercial invoice, if that satisfies the requirement, please provide sign-off.

    Hi Nivisha,

    please see attached screenshot of the web portal and the commercial invoice. There is no "Reason for export" field on the platform, but there is field on the Commercial invoice. There is "Type of Export" which on UAT has been selected "Merchandise", but on the invoice is displayed "USED EXHIBITION GOODS TO ORIGIN".

    Please provide your comments latest by 9/18 at the latest - If the PB team needs to evaluate the effort, we need to understand your requirements clearly. Can you confirm above that what exists today in UAT suffice the requirement of the JP team and we are good to close the ticket? If not then tell us the delta related to the Purpose of Shipment option/result on the commercial invoice.

    2. Purpose of Shipment option/ result on commercial invoice- What drives this and does it have any impact on the shipment or fees? - I don't think that the commercial invoice was produced out of the new platform, I don't think it has any impact, is that a required field by the JP Team?
